In a swift response that underscores their commitment to public safety, Bhojpur police captured five young suspects, aged 18 to 19, who were linked to the gang-rape of a minor girl. The shocking incident unfolded on Sunday night as the girl left her residence.
Ara: Acting swiftly, Bhojpur police arrested all five named accused, who were charged with gang-raping a minor girl on Sunday night. All the accused are aged between 18 and 19 years.Bhojpur SP, Raj, told the reporters on Monday, “Following the information about the alleged gang rape of a minor girl on Sunday evening, the police rushed to the spot and started an investigation. It was found out that the girl was gang-raped when she had gone out of her house to attend nature’s call at 8.30pm. Based on the statement of the girl, an FIR was registered under Section 70(2) of the BNS and Section 4/6 of the Pocso Act.”The SP added, “An SIT, headed by the SDPO, was constituted to nab the accused. Acting on the technical inputs, intensive raids were conducted at all suspected hideouts and within seven hours of the incident, the police arrested all five accused.”The arrested accused have been identified as Pramod Dhanuk, Dipu Dhanuk, Bablu Dhanuk alias Batal Dhanuk, Sanjay Pal alias Tekti Pal and Jeetesh Kumar.
